Does my padlock come with any keys?


Yes! Locks include two brass keys and every lock we sell comes with an exclusive, unrepeated set of keys.

What sizes do you offer?


All the padlocks we sell utilize the same size body (1.82″ H x 1.75″W x .75″ D) but we do offer 3 different size shackles. The larger shackle (loop) makes it easier to lock multiple locks together.

What is included with my order?


Every Love Padlock we ship includes a beautifully printed 4×6 post card with a brief history about Love Locks and two keys.

All orders shipped with USPS Priority/Express  or FedEx service also include a free gift pillow box.

Can I also have the back of my lock engraved?


Absolutely, this service is unique to MakeLoveLocks.com . The rear of the padlock does contain a small screw and this area can not be engraved.

Is there a limit to the amount of text or clip art that I can use on my love lock?


Absolutely not! We encourage all of our customers to utilize and explore the huge assortment of artwork and fonts our website supplies. Let the art inspire you to make it your own. No two love locks are the same and we love seeing the variety of your amazing designs!

How is my lock engraved?


Our locks are engraved by a laser engraver to create permanent, clean, and beautiful inscriptions. A high intensity laser removes the anodized color from the lock, leaving behind the bright, exposed aluminum.

Do you engrave your brand logo on the finished product?


Never! We want our love locks to be a cherished gift for your loved ones, not a billboard for our business! The only markings on the lock, aside from your chosen engravings, is a small stamping from the original manufacture, located on the side of the lock and not interfering with your design.

This is a surprise gift , will the packaging ruin my surprise when it comes in the mail?


Nope! We ship all of our products in discrete packaging that does not make any mention of our website or love locks.

Can I submit my own custom artwork or design for a Love Lock?


We do offer this service on a per job basis. Please contact us at info@makelovelocks.com for details.

What form of payment is accepted?


We accept all major credit cards, as well as a PayPal option.

Do you charge sales tax?


We are located in Brooklyn, NY and as such must collect sales tax for all orders being shipped to an address in the state of NY.

How long does it take to engrave and ship my order?


We strive to process all orders within 1-2 business days and ship immediately following.

Can I pick up my order?


We prefer to ship all orders, but pickup at our office in Brooklyn, NY is available. Please contact us at info@makelovelocks.com to schedule a pickup.

Do you offer international shipping?


Yes we do! We ship all international orders via USPS First Class, International Priority, and USPS International Express. Delivery time does vary depending on the country we are shipping to.

What is the cost of shipping?


The shipping rate you are charged is based on the weight of your products, your location, and service chosen. Before the final checkout page, you will be shown the cost of shipping and a total amount, giving you a chance to cancel your order if you wish not to continue.

What type of packaging do you use?


Packaging

First Class shipments will be mailed inside a padded envelope, due to weight restrictions we can not offer a decorative gift box with these shipments.

Priority and Express packages are shipped inside a free pillow gift box and topped off with a silver bow. There is no additional charge for this.

How are International Customs Duties and Tax handled?


When ordering from MakeLoveLocks.com, you’re responsible for assuring the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country.

The recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Orders shipped outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches the recipient’s country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and can’t predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for more information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.

How can I track my order?


Your order tracking number will be emailed to you the moment we process your order and generate a shipping label.

Please be advised that international tracking is very limited and it is normal to experience a delay between updates on the packages location.

How are backorders handled?


While we do maintain a large inventory, from time to time a specific color or shackle size can go out of stock. If a part of your order is out of stock, we will ship the part of your order that is in stock and contact you to see if you want to wait until your item is available or choose a different item. If you wish to wait for the out of stock item to become available, we will ship it to you without any additional S&H charge.

Make Interactive LLC will stand behind every product sold. Understandably, personalized gifts cannot be accepted for return. If your order has defects from the manufacturer or engraving mistakes on our part, you may return it in its original packaging and in new condition for a credit or exchange. All returns must be made within 30 days.

We understand that everyone makes mistakes, especially on spelling names, dates and even numbers. Double check your personalized gifts before submitting your order. If you did make a mistake and need a replacement, we will offer it to you with a 10% discount. If we made the mistake, we will send you the replacement at no additional charge to you.
